Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of natural medicine that has been used worldwide for over 3000 years, with consistent and remarkable effect. It is used both as a primary and complementary form of medical treatment. Acupuncture is recognized by The World Health Organization (WHO) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) and has virtually no adverse effects. The profound healing effects of acupuncture are a direct result of the fine needles which are gently inserted into specific points on the surface of the body. These tiny hair-thin needles are sterile and disposable. Traditional Chinese Medicine theory states that an imbalance in the flow of energy (Qi) pronounced “Chee” through the meridians of the body is the cause of pain and disease. Thus balancing the flow of Qi through the meridians promotes healing and overall wellness.

NutriPlex

We are providers of whole food nutrition products and information to clinicians. Nutriplex produces a truly 100% whole food product clinical line, 100% free of isolates.

Nutriplex only use the “whole” food, which means, we don’t take the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, flavonoids, carotenoids or chlorophyll out of our vegetables. We use the whole vegetable, herb and glandular.

Many pseudo “whole food” companies claim their ingredients come from whole food but what they are really saying is, they “pulled” nutrients out of “whole foods.” This is much different. Using the whole food instead of a mixture isolated vitamins or minerals has a tremendous impact on your patients’ well-being.

When you remove nutrients from their original source you strip that nutrient of its co-factors (helper nutrients) that are needed for complete nutritive effects. Other companies end up infusing co-factors into their products as well as chemicals to force absorption. Scientific research shows you cannot recreate the complexity & effective- ness already within nature’s bio-chemical synergy.

We choose nature over pharmacology.

Acupressure

Acupressure is a form of Chinese Medicine that uses the exact same principles of Acupuncture without facilitating acupuncture needles. It is an excellent source of healing for babies, children and sensitive patients.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient Chinese method of moving Qi and resolving blood stagnation within the tissues of the body. It can be used in conjunction with other Chinese Medicine modalities or as a stand-alone treatment. A vacuum is created using suction or heat, then the cup is placed on the skin. This vacuum draws up the underlying tissues encouraging movement of Qi and Blood in that area. It is a relaxing and painless modality that is very effective especially with muscle tension.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT

First the physician will ask various questions and listen closely to the patient. Then the acupuncturist will feel the patient’s pulses on both wrists and look at their tongue. All these examinations will allow the physician to form a diagnosis and treatment plan. This treatment plan will be shared with the patient, as clearly as possible. This process could take anywhere from 10-30 minutes depending on the situation. Once the needles are placed at strategic points on the body, they are retained for 15-30 minutes. Some people may only get a few points while others will get more. It all depends on the unique person and that unique session. It’s best to plan on approximately one hour of free time for the entire treatment. Once the needles are in place there can be different sensations. Some feel a heavy dull ache and some feel a tingling shock. Then there’s others who don’t feel anything at all. Throughout the treatment, the patient’s responsiveness is the primary focus, allowing the most optimal healing potential!
